Update: Shane and SES Smart Star - Qualifies for World Reining Championship 2008

Shane and SES Smart Star have qualified for the World Reining Championships 2008 taking place in Manerbio, Italy on 14 September 2008. This is the first time this event will be taking place. 23 Countries will be taking part from all over the world. Qualification for this event took place at The Garden of England Show, Bodiam, UK in July 2008. Shane was placed 9th out of 29 in the first CRI Event and 2nd out of 13 in the second CRI Event. Shane is currently leading the British Reining Open Series and the British Reining Novice Horse Series. In addition to this, Shane has also qualified for the World Reining Masters Finals, taking place in Oklahoma City, USA in December 2008, he is also currently lying 33rd in the World FEI Rankings, the highest placed South African rider in all disciplines.

Shane Borland We just wanted to let you all know that Shane is currently in Germany at the Derby to take part in the CRI to try and qualify for the World Reining Championships and the World Reining Masters Final. You will be able to watch on Live Streaming Video. Click here for all the information. Cross all bodily parts for him, he needs to score a 68 and above as his first qual. His second CRI is at Bodiam in July which will also be available via Live Streaming Video on the Internet.
